Hi everyone,
We haven't been on the forum for a while as have been so busy learning everything about NZ!!
We arrived on October the 5th after a tiring flight via LA. Everything went great except one of our bags got lost in transit. It eventually turned up a week later so at least we got it back!
It was rather rainy the first few days when we arrived, but since then the weather has been lovely. We are staying with my sister just outside Auckland near Mission Bay with all the beaches, shops and cafes. It's a really lovely place, the people are friendly and the views amazing.
Mostly we have been into Auckland city for a few interviews with recruitment agents but no definite jobs yet. (wouldn't want to live in the centre but there are lovely places around it). We also made some time to spend a few days in Welly which was lovely, the weather was gorgeous and it wasn't that windy would you believe ;)
Also just back from Gisborne for the wine festival which was great fun too.
So we are trying not to treat it too much like a holiday as we will need jobs soon or my sister will be getting sick of us soon! :laugh
So we highly recommend the place so far and will keep you updated when we get jobs.
