Well most of you know my ongoing fight with Medical Assessors etc.
Its been two months since i had the last set of "additional tests" requested by the MA and we submitted them. Haven't heard from my agents at all so today i thought i would call my case officer and see where we are at.

Phoned the helpline as dont have any direct dial for her, answered by the most unhelpful person known to mankind "sir you file shows we are still awaiting the assessors reply, we cant chase this up with them its not allowed. And there is no need to speak to your Case Officer, i have answered for you".

GRRR

Anyway i wont let it lie, and insisted they put me through to my personal case officer as i originally asked at the start of the call. After about 10mins of heated discussion and then hold music i finally get told "here i am connecting you to your Case Officer". Now i have spoken to my case officer before who was a very helpful and understanding kiwi lady, and the person i was today put through to was Asian and i couldn't even tell what gender from the accent or the name (which i couldn't repeat if i tried). I mention this as facts, not because race has anything to do with it!

"sir, miss ***** no longer works with Immigration and i have been given all her cases, i am now your case officer. As the helpdesk told you there is nothing we can do until the Assessor replies this can take 4-5 weeks". To which i pointed out it has now been over 8 weeks. "Well if its taking longer then we all need to be patient, there's nothing that we can do to contact the assessor. Sir i have a huge workload and i cant help you, you will receive your decision when i have the time to make it, and not before thank you sir"

I was gobsmacked, frankly i dont stand a chance of PR when case officer doesn't seem interested and cases are clearly an inconvenience. And then to top it all they then said "Sir, i just noticed you have an agent working for you, then i shouldn't even be discussing this with you, i will only speak to your agent, goodbye sir"

GGRRRRRR What the........ So its my application, my life, my future and yet they "cant discuss it with you" as i have an agent? !! ?

So i gone from a great caring helpful CO, to somebody i dont even know there name or even there gender. Can my NZIS and PR experience get any worse. I just about had enough..........

Home is looking like a damn fine life right now..... And no i am serious, they dont make a damn decision by New Year then i quit. Enough is enough

You sure are having a rocky ride Lee. I just thought I would mention that some people's manner can sound uncaring and abrupt but behind the scenes they are actually very effective and reasonable. Let's hope that your CO is this kind of person.
All the best.

Bloomin' 'eck Lee, you're really going through the wringer, aren't you? :( Well if NZIS won't speak to you, and as I assume your agent is being paid for their work, absolutely hound them non-stop until they take action.

Best of luck, my friend, and please hang in there!

Ah so sorry Lee, they're really beating you over the head with this.

Although, if it helps to cheer you up any, when I read the thread title, I thought you were having some inexplicable problem with Nazis!

Oh Lee, I can't believe you are having yet more grief over this. I won't say 'chin up' or 'hang in there' as you've heard that tons of times during this saga. However I will tell you I'm hoping things get sorted for you soon.

Get on your agents case mate. It is YOUR hard earned money, so make them do their job.
I do know how you feel to a lesser degree though Lee. I have tried chasing things along by e-mailing our case officer, only to be told "Standard processing times for residency are between 6 and 9 months, I will contact you if I need to"
Hang in there.

Sadly as always my situation is a bit more complicated..

If it was my money as such (although kind of is) i would have sorted the agents or fired them by now! But as the boss is employing them, they tend to "miss" my emails and calls and not provide much assistance (i am not the customer, he is, although i am the applicant). Spoke to boss 2-3 times to "chase them up" and he just insists there doing there best and he wont bother them! So not a lot i can do to agents sadly Tim etc.

The irony is, i agreed (probably foolishly) if i left employer within three years i would pay agents costs, but now my argument would be "why should i pay for a service i wasn't happy with, and my concerns to the service fell on deaf ears?".. Going to be interesting if and when i leave the job.....
