If i am not claiming any points for the work experience, as it is not in a comparable labor market, do i still need to provide proof of work experience such as referenes from the past employers?

I don't think you do, but I am not too sure as we are claiming points for work experience so provided evidence. I am sure though, that someone will be on here soon that has experienced the same as yourself that may be able to help! :)

You have to provide employment records or employer references describing your work
experience or current practising certificate, registration or licence as appropriate

I am in the same situation, and I know that if it is not in a comparable labour market you do not have to proof experience. But I beleive I read some place that you could not claim points if it wasn't in a comparable labour market. In fact when we received ITA, it mentioned that we only needed to provide proof for those jobs in which the company had its home office in UK, USA, Ireland
