Hi Guys,

I was never one for keeping payslips and now its come back and bit me!
I was hoking through the filing cabinet there and I have and come across 3 payslips and Tax info for my placement year as a Level 2 Systems Engineer in Ireland.

I can't locate the letter offering me the employment but may be able to contact the company or Uni and ask them or a friend if they can confirm my year there. Would that be ok if I need to prove that year of experience?

I do have another year as a helpdesk engineer but it was ages ago and can't find a thing! Will I have to drop this year? :wah

Also one more thing, for the past 2 years I have been running my own watersports business fulltime which also trades online: www.downoutdoorstore.com. I was wondering if I can use this as experience also as its related to my degree: Business Information Technology.
The business was built up whilst still in final year in uni and everything was designed by both of us from the website, to graphic design, admin, marketing and sales etc. It has been running sucessfully since.

On a plus note Clare got a call from a employer tonight and they were very excited about her CV! :raebanana. She involved in FMCG marketing at the min. Seemed to be really positive.

Cheers,
Mick.

Thanks !

With regards to proving work experience, contact the National Insurance/Inland Revenue - they can print off a report that lists your work history and NI contributions. Somewhere I have the contact details - will post them when I find them (assuming you are in the UK??)

Updated to add these two addresses and a phone number. You might want to call them to check which address to use:
