just doing your budget estimates. Can anyone tell me who much one usually has to pay for a cleaning lady (4-8 hours/week)?

The one and only time I've used a cleaner I called in Greenacres (www.greenacres.co.nz). They charge $60 per hour +GST and have a minimum charge of 2 hrs so the least you pay is $135. This was for two people.

The couple that came did a good, fast job on my house and said next time I needed them to call them direct and there would be room for negotiation on the price.

My neighbour has a cleaner so I'll ask her how much she pays as I would imagine going through a 'company' like Greenacres is going to cost more than you could by going direct to somebody.
