well we been and gone and done it!!!!!!

Flights booked leaving UK 14 Feb
Crown are in 26 Jan for 3 days and container leaving us on the 29 Jan
Dog is heading up to Golden Arrow on 31 Jan and they are doing everything while he is there ...... should be with us by 21 Feb.
2 month holiday rental booked near Bethlehem, Tauranga
Bank account opened and mortgage offer agreed.

All we need to do now is exchange contracts on this place ..........ouchhhhh.......had call from buyer today just to put our mind at rest that they are not holding anything up its the building society/surveyor thats delaying things. We have all agreed 30 January for completion............grrrrhhhhh to building society. We are both very keen to exchange to tie us both in.

Leaves us to clean all the garden furniture, tools, etc with the Jeyes and pressure washer out, along with final declutter, get over Christmas (all presents bought and cards written out) in a very sterile and exceptionally minimalist house with a party booked to say goodbye to everyone here in Luton on the 29 December. Then first two weeks in February we will be travelling the four corners of the country spending time with our family before boarding big bird in sky.

Just wondering, how did you do that from a distance? I know opening the bank account online is easy peasy, what about the mortgage though?

TonyTessa........we made an application with National Bank on line and they called us and we have been allocated a relocation officer who is dealing with our needs and helping with general questions. He has also set up our bank accounts for when we arrive.
