I have been in Ohio for the last 12 years and married a U.S. citizen here 3yrs ago. We were wondering what the best bet would be for her to move back with me and get permanent residency? We have a place to stay with family and she will not be working as we are planning on starting our family in the near future and should be just fine with a single income. Is she best to go over with a vistor's visa initially and go through the steps down there or start applying for permanent residency in advance of us moving spring next year? Thanks for all the help!

I would apply now and so long as there are no health reasons there would be no real problems i would think so long as you can prove that you have been together for over 12 months they are pretty good with returning kiwi's and their partners/spouse. If you read Partnership part of the site it will tell you all you need to know.
Good luck!!! Anni
