looking at having a pool and trying to decide on a para-pool should get 10 years till kids have had enough and good cheap option or fitted pool ,should add value to property ( but yet to see that an houses ive seen), approx $50000 against around $9000 which will give money for jetski and boat and also add to lifestyle we came for.
any views and experiences welcome
thanks

Is a para pool one of those free-standing pools? My OH had one when he was growing up -I think they had it for about 20 years or so. They thought it was great when they were kids. I'd go for that, and the jet ski and boat.

Hi John
We had an in-ground fiber glass pool when we lived in Spain. We thought that, because of the very hot summer months, we would never be out of it. In reality we were hardly ever in it. It was lovely to look at but even the kids only went in it a couple of times a week.
I would go for a cheaper above ground pool if we ever had one again. Just as much fun and you are more likely to get your moneys worth out of it. I have seen some very nice ones with a deck built up on one side to give you the poolside seating/relaxing area.
