A knicker/bra party would be so funny. Like an anne summer's party but more sensible.

It's such a pity they won't include percy pigs in the order (although my mum is coming over for Christmas and is bringing me a big supply!)

I've just done some serious damage on the old EFTPOS over the last two weekends on lingerie, but now I'm positively drooling over good old M&S stuff on their website tonight...!! I foresee a further credit card hit on the horizon... :-(

Just found this is under the help section for international deliveries on the M&S web site...

Please note that products are sold on a DDU (Delivery Duty unpaid) basis. Additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation.

Recipients of deliveries made outside the European Union may have to pay import duty or formal customs entry. If customs duties or formal customs entry are required, the delivery may be delayed. Marks and Spencer cannot offer any assistance in these processes.

To help ensure that customs duties are not payable for deliveries outside the EU, is it advisable to keep your total basket value below the customs duty threshold of the destination country. Please check thresholds and duties before placing an order.

Does anyone know the "customs threshold" for NZ?

If you check on the Customs website, its probably going to work out fairly expensive unless you keep to under $50.

You may need to re-read that page :exit

You are only charged if the customs charges exceed NZ$50, so the trick is to only order goods up to a total value (including shipping) that would incur charges less than NZ$50.

For clothes (mens and womens) the duty is 26.5% so this would mean that if you keep the total order price (including shipping) to less than NZ$188 (would be less than NZ$50 in duty), you won't have any customs charges to pay.

Please note that different goods have different rates of duty and my example is only for mens and womens clothing.

I'm still waiting on stuff I ordered in January :wah

The first time it was send it got damaged so it disappeared into the ether and when it got to Dunedin in its mashed up state no-one actually bothered to tell me it was there.

M and S sent a replacement and it has disappeared again. The lovely lady at NZ post hasn't come right out and said that someone has nicked it but she's dropped a few heavy hints. I look forward to receiving my stuff in 2010 at this rate :)

My stuff actually arrived quite quickly this time, it took less than a week and with no customs charges (I'd ordered about $200 worth of stuff).

Their tights are as good as ever and i thoroughly recommend the lemon Ingredients bath and shower gel.

I've bought stuff from French Connection in Australia before - postage is reasonable (can't remember how much, sorry), and the prices are good in comparison to FCUK's UK prices.

I would love to be able to buy good quality womens clothes that don't look like theyve been designed by a 4 year old!! They all seem to look as though they have been made with leftovers!!!
I'm arranging for my Dad to buy some kitchen cupboard handles and a tap from Ikea and then to ship them over to me, anyone know how I will fair with customs charges? The handles are £4 for 2, not quite sure how many I will need, maybe 30 to 40, and also a mixer tap costing £139. The handles will be taken out of their packaging for easier wrapping.

Boden also delivers to NZ with a delivery charge of £12. They're not that cheap but have good end-of-season sales which tie in nicely with the different timings of the UK/NZ seasons.
