Wow..its gone fast.
Last time i posted i was sat in HK airport and still not here but well and truly here now.
We have rented a part furnished brand new house in a lovely area of Cambridge in the gorgeous Waikato area.
Work is going well..(im working in Te Awamutu) and am finding the kiwis a very nice bunch to get along with. They all seem like really down to earth types with not too many airs and graces but great guys.
The 2 younger kids start school tomorrow but my eldest is off now until February so if anybody knows of any part time jobs for her over the summer, please let me know:nice1.
I am still pinching myself that we are actually here but it seems more real now as we have been and bought our own car today so the rental car can go back tomorrow which will save us a small fortune.
Been shopping in Hamilton and that is nothing how I imagined a city to be compared to the UK,it feels like a large town more than a city but very nice and easy to find parking spaces.
Plenty of expats around here so if anybody fancies a brew...or a beer give us a shout.
A word to anybody considering the big move...go for it,the country is gorgeous, the people are great and the lifrstyle is so different to the UK.
oooo and I forgot to say that we had a barbie on Saturday..mmmmm nice:cheers
