We had our medicals (Knightsbirdge (London) £265 each for the lot - medicals, bloods, x-rays) Friday before last. I was worried that either my BMI or my waist measurement would be a tad too high so fasted in case they wanted to do extra tests. They didn't. Phew!
On Wednesday the doctors confirmed there was no problem and we could collect the medical forms and x-rays.
Spent the last few days making sure we had as much employment evidence as possible (OH is principle applicant and is an IT bod, contracted for many years) and relationship evidence.
Today I went to the docs to collect the forms and x-rays then took them and the rest of the stuff straight to New Zealand House. The girl who saw me looked through the paperwork, said it all seemed okay (she didn't go through the work stuff). She opened the envelopes containing the medicals and looked through. She was happy with mine (to my relief), but kept the x-rays for my OH because of his broken ribs (14 months ago).
So now it feels even more real. And still weird because we are making plans to leave the UK but don't yet know if NZIS will say yes, and when they will say yes. But you've all been there, right?
I guess now I have to do all the stuff to the house that I would do if I knew for sure I was going, just in case.
