Well done. Now check out that the school knows you're entitled to a 0.1 overseas teacher time allowance, if it's a decile 4 or lower school you may be able to claim removal expenses and you're also supposed to have a mentor as an overseas teacher too. get in touch with the PTTA (assuming you're secondary). Sorry to sound all bossy but i've learned all this the very hard way.
And make sure you get a job description and contract in writing for NZIS
Good luck

Chilli,

Dont know how it works, but when the OH spoke the the teaching display down at the London Expo, she was advised there was $4k available to overseas teachers, but the school has to apply for this?
Is this what was mentioned earlier?

I think that's the removal expenses that Lockstock was talking about, will be good if I get it, as you all know this is a very expensive process.

Is the removal expenses only for teachers or anyone in a government job?

I've heard that some schools don't know about the relocation money so you may have to be proactive. Details on the website I think.

Great news :clap
