Question about enrolling with a Doctor

Hi,
Just got forms from the local medical centre to enrol us all, so that when we need to see a dr we can get charged the cheaper fee. When the lady gave me the forms, she explained that I needed to choose which Dr I wanted to enrol with and told me which ones were currently taking new patients. Now I know in NZ you are free to choose your Dr, but does that mean once you have chosen which one to enrol with, you can only see that particular Dr to get the cheaper consultation fee? Don't get me wrong, I like having a regular Dr, but when kids get sick and I just want to see a Dr ASAP, does that mean I'll have to pay more if I see a different Dr (at the same medical centre) to the one we have enrolled with?

Our medical centre charges you the same price no matter which doctor you see.

I don't think I've been charged anymore for seeing another Dr, like you when the kids are ill any Dr will do but this may vary, like the fees, with different regions/medical centres, be intersting to see what others say

I pay $37 no matter what Dr i see, i thought it was the same all over obviously you pay more or less fees depending on where you are registered. I am registered with a lady Dr but can see any Drs at the practice.

We are only registered with the practice (as far as I was told anyway), but get the disocunt so $28 no matter which Dr we see. We might officially be registered with one specific Dr, but if so it hasn't made any difference to us at all.
