Well, I scrubbed up a treat. Skirt and heels and tottered off to my interview today. It was really friendly and informal and I was told they'd let me know by the end of the week but the Principal has just phoned me (9.10pm) to ask me not only if I wanted the job starting in January but also if I would come in for the last two weeks of term to work with the planning team. Who's a star eh? eh?

Thanks for all your good wishes everyone - it's all a bit surreal at the moment but it puts the experiences at the 'other' school well into the past now. I've had nearly 5 months off which has done me the world of good although I have to say, a month or so ago I don't think I would have been up to the challenge. So, now I have to go and do some final retail therapy to find clothes to suit the occasion.
