OH has a colleague who has just got PR but with the clause 18a thingy. Does that mean once he has completed his three months in high skills job he can get the clause removed and take up gardening or selling burgers and still get his IRRV in 2 years time?
I'm not supposing that is what he will do but he just wants to be clear on his understanding of the rules.

Thought so but wasn't sure. I have also found an old reference to this from 2006.
Thanks

Hi Mels...
We've just gone and got our Section 18a removed. We phoned the helpline to get the nearest NZIS office to us, then sent copies of Principle Applicants payslip, letter from employer to confirm employment status ie been employed for three months+, latest bank account statement and utility bill and sent whole lot off (via courier post) with our passports and got them back with in the week!:nice1

Thanks Grasshopper, we were wondering what we need to do as OH has done his own three months in a week or two.
