Hi all

I have a job offer and the CO has still requested that i have a telephone interview as my job apparently doesnt add points..... has any one else has the same?

Telephone interview by CO? If yes its normal practice, either they ask for face to face interview or if distance is an issue, CO will conduct telephone interview to finalise the process of visa. In very few cases interview is exempted.

This isn't correct, it isn't normal practice to require an interview if you have a job offer.

If you don't have a job offer then it is normal practice.

For the OP, NZIS can of course ask to interview anyone they choose to so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I don't see the point as they normally use this interview to determine if you should be given PR or WTR. The WTR would then be changed to a PR once you had secured a job, which of course you have already done.

I can say that we had an interview for our WTR application (which of course needed a job offer), very simple and no problems, so sure you will be fine.

I know three person who had interview with job offer, it was nothing special as they stated, so no need to worry about.

Thank you all, had an email from CO confirming that it is due to the fact that i cant claim the points for my job so will still need one, lets hope its soon as we are hoping to fly the 28th and they still have our passports!!

Well just had the interview and not that bad although i think i babbled a little too much!!!

Just the last few bits of paper to send in then a decision in the next week... getting excited!
