I read from this forum that, from time to time, applicant gets his/her passport back with blue sticker.
I would like to ask, what is the procedure for NZIS to notify applicant on sending passport, and how does the passport mail back to applicant? I would like to hear applicant who get their passport back from NZIS Beijing, NZIS Shanghai or NZIS Bangkok.

Hi there,
If you send off your Invitation to Apply (ITA), you can include your passports in there.. or alternatively, when you receive an approval in principle (AIP), you will need to send your passports.
Although, I'm afriad I can't help with NZIS Beijing, Shanghai or Bangkok.
Hope this is help

When I got my "Approval In Principle" email from NZIS Beijing, it asked for migrant levy payment of X amount in USD and all the passports in my application for the visas to be issued. Top up another USD25 if you want your passports sent back to you by courier. I sent in a bank draft and passports by courier with attention to my CO's name. I tracked my package online and was happy to see the package delivered. I waited for 3 more days before I called my CO for confirmation. But the CO said he couldn't check because the office received many courier packages daily. I was a bit surprised with the response but nevertheless accepted it and anxiously hoping that nothing would go wrong with the handling of the passports. The CO did advise that NZIS Beijing should issue the visas within 2 weeks and asked me to call back to check again in 2 weeks. Today, 12 days after the delivery of the passports to NZIS Beijing office, I got an update on the NZ Immigration web site, stating my passport number and the conditions of visa as "Please apply for transfer of this visa when the passport expires. The holder may travel to NZ and on application shall be granted a residence permit. This returning resident's visa is current for two years from the date of issue of the original residence permit."
Hopefully I will receive our passports with the famous blue stickers in the next few days.
Hope this helps.

I received the passports today with the blue stickers. The visas were issued on 2 Dec, courier'ed on 3 Dec and arrived today.
It's been a very long process. I feel like having just crossed the finish line of a marathon, and still trying to catch a breath:p.
Nanas time I guess :raebanana:bluebanana:cheers
Hopefully things go all well with you all folks.
