Status changed to selected. At least the computer pulled me out of the pool. I hope a human being is not going to throw me into the pool again once he/she goes over my EOI.

Thanks everybody for your good wishes. I know we are nowhere near, but it feels good to be selected.
It is time for me and few others on this forum to wait for the "Decision Successful" OR face a lot questions from NZIS people regarding the points we have claimed. Either way, it is going to be an interesting ride.

Hi,
I just received an e-mail from EOI team. It says this, "Your EOI was selected from the Pool because you claimed: 15 points for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage, and you claimed points total of 125 or above."
It also says that my EOI has been forwarded to the London Branch for consideration.
Is this a normal procedure and is my EOI supposed to go to the London Branch? I applied from the US. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for your congratulations - now that it has sunk in, it feels great to be finally on the rollercoaster, even if the carriage has only just started clanking out of the station...
Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

I've not had one either - I imagine that they are working through the 772 EOIs drawn from the top down (i.e. most points etc first) - as I fall into the bottom category (All EOIs between 110 points and 135 points where there are no points claimed for a job or job offer, work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage, or qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage.), I don't expect to hear much for a while...

Fair enough, that makes sense...just longer for me to bite my fingernails and hold my breath every time I check my email or the immigration site, lol...I truly am hoping (however naively) that whoever is processing my application is going to be filled with Christmas cheer and therefore be more lenient on me. :laugh I guess the only reason I thought otherwise was that the OP had 125 points and I had 120, so I thought ours might have been processed at the same time...but at this point no news is good news!

Well - with that level of points, you'll still get info before I do (if my theory on them working down the points distribution is correct...)
Whilst I'd like to hear before Christmas, I'm anticipating not getting anything till after the New Year (which might help with the telling of people, as we've been saying for a number of years that February 09 is when we were going to start the process, and I really wasn't anticipating being pulled straight back out of the Pool!!)

Hello to everyone -- selected here as well. Status on their website was changed yesterday, and I did receive a confirming e-mail yesterday as well (we claimed 135 total points, with 15 for work experience in skills shortage area).
Hope to short-circuit the process a bit, as I have a promising videoconference set up for Sunday (well -- Monday in NZ), so this is all becoming a bit more real rather rapidly. Good luck to all.

I was selected on the 19th of November, but never (so far) got an email. What I did get was a letter from NZIS just this weekend, which I have tried so hard to not frame. So hang in there.

So was your EOI approved without any further enquiries from NZIS? Lucky!!
