I am in the process of sorting out my visa application for NZ (my partner is from NZ) and realised that I need a medical for my application.
4 years ago I had arthritis, I no longer have this but was left with significant joint damage in my hip which will require replacing. I plan to have it replaced in the UK when its required to be but am wondering what sort of impact this will have on my medical? Will I be considered un-fit for the visa, will I be eligible for the wavier (im married to a New Zealander)? I dont have a date for the surgery yet, it could be a month or a year im not sure but i'd rather not waste the money on the medical if there is no chance that ill pass or be eilgible for the wavier before the operation.
Any advice would be great, thanks.
