Hi all
just a quick question.
do you HAVE to submit the migrant levy form with your ITA. the wording makes it sound like you should only submit it if you want your visas issued straight away (which we don't - want a delay due to not wanting to leave straight away?).
is it ok to leave this form out until later.
thanks

Migrant levy form with ITA? I haven't submitted neither it was given to me to submit, nor in ITA there was a single word about it.
I think when PR or WTR is principally agreed, it could be asked then.

No, you don't have to supply the form until you have been accepted in principle. Then you get a letter asking you for the fee and your passports. Some people only send certified copies. Its a fair point to know that we provided the levy form and passports, London kept hold of our passports for the whole period while awaiting decision, about 4 months. (boss nearly arranged a company meeting abroad during this time, didn't do it in the end, phew!)
Someone asked a very similar question earlier about how long you get before you send off your passports to get your blue stickers.

the form was included in our ITA but we submitted copies of our passports, rather than the real ones as my partner may have needed his to go abroad on business before they finished with it and I only had 14 months left on mine. So we have both now got new passports.
I delvered my ITA by hand (to London) and the girl who took it fromme went through what was there and said this wasn't a problem.

hmmm, ITA I submitted was simply EOI application form printed in adobe format asking to provide signatures alongwith proof of everything I stated. I remember in covering letter I was specifically told not to include original passports but notarised copy.

I'm sure the norm is to include the original passports. Riz, any reason why they did not want your originals? (ie your out of the country) What branch was it?

JandL. I have copied my ITA in other thread, which is originals needed something like heading. The branch is Beijing.
I think they know their processing time is over 6 months after ITA been submitted and some times it can take longer if further enquiries are to be made, and they understand the need of passport. This is what I think. Even if they asked my original passport at the time of ITA submission, I was not going to give them as I tarvel ferquently and there is no way I can keep my passport away more than 4 weeks.
Is there anyone here whom they asked specifically for original passport for ITA application?

Thats likely the reason then with such a long processing time. Sending original passports seems optional, but I had never heard of anyone being told not to send them.

This is exact wording from my ITA letter.
"Certified copies of your passport. Please do not submit the original at this stage."
