Well, it looks like Santa has arrived early for us... this afternoon we received an email from our Visa Officer, confirming our application for Permanent Residency has been 'Approved in Principle' and that its just a case of posting our passports to New Zealand House in London for our 'Blue Stickers'.
Its been an incredible 9 month journey... visited NZ in April for our 3 week 'recce' then got the ball rolling in May with OH's NZ nursing registration, swiftly followed by submitting our EOI in June, then we sold our French property in October and now confirmation of gaining PR in December... amazing!!!
To say we're over the moon is an understatement... we'd like to take this opportunity in thanking everyone for their help, support, advice and assistance during our application process. I must say we've been incredibly fortunate that our application has been simple and straight forward and wish the same to all those applying for their relevant Visa.
Merry Christmas all and a Happy New Year :cheers :nice1 :D

Well done!!! :bluebanana:bluebanana:bluebanana
When will you be leaving?
We'll be leaving the UK either 7th or 8th March 2009... OH starts her new job at Christchurch Hospital on 23rd March, so this gives us 2 weeks to enroll our 6 year old son into a chosen school (currently looking into this), find a suitable rental property (again, currently looking into this) and sort out general matters such as open a joint bank account, purchase a car (more than likely stick with Subaru) and anything else we can fit in the 2 weeks we'll have before work kicks in.
Thank you all for your kind comments and wishes, best of luck to all others currently waiting decisions, etc.
