Hi,
Recent developments have made us realise that we are going to have to re submit our EOI as our current application runs out next month. Lack of a job offer in skills shortage category means our points score remains at 100.
Summer 2009 I am due to graduate with an honours degree in EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION STUDIES. I already have the foundation degree in this subject which the NZQA assessed as a level 6 equiv. qualifcation. Does anyone know whether the honours degree is a higher level and worth more points?
Please help as we really don't want to be disappointed again when we reapply.
Thanks in advance
Nikki

Hello
Your honours degree will be assessed at level 7 while you alreay have level 6 qualification. I understand that points for level 6 and 7 are same which are 50. So in my opinion this won't make difference in points but ofcourse there is advantage of it as well. With the honours qualification you could be more favourable to employees.

I can confirm that my Hons degree was a level 7 and gained me 50 points:

You only get 55 points if you are level 9 or 10.
