I've done a search on "Dunedin" and got some info, but would like to know more.

What do people on this list have to say about Dunedin? We arrived there last night, and will be spending a few days checking it out. So, your replies will be very timely.

In particular:

* What's the climate like? Heard it was colder compared with elsewhere in NZ, but just how cold? Moorf sent a link which suggests olives are grown around here, so there's some confusion around climate...

* What are people's thoughts on which neighborhoods are good to rent/buy a house or property? Surrounding areas are of interest as well. Liked the frank debate about this regarding Chch, so hope there's some likewise opinions about Dunedin.

Hi rob

Have sent you a PM too.
We live outside Dunedin, about 25mins drive north on the Sunshine Coast (warmer climate) at Waikouaiti. Arrived here from the UK Lake District 11months ago.

Please let me know what sort of things you want to know - have put my email address in the PM.

I too will be heading to Dunedin well Mosgiel either next week or the week after or when ever the buyers soliciter is ready to exchange. I hear Dun is hilly and mosgiel is flatter and a couple of degrees warmer. Oh and there's about six sushi restaurants.

Hopefully I will be of more assistance WHEN I get there.
