We are submitting our final application , thank god, it is almost done- and I have a rather stupid question. It requires that we have two photos on our medical forms ( to assure them that we have not paid a stooge to take our medicals, I presume.) It also says it the application check sheet that we need two passport sized photos to include in the application. Are these the photos on the medical forms or do they need extras in addition to the two on the medical form? Passport photos are not cheap. However I would prefer not to have our application rejected because we screwed up on the photos. Our "guy" is out our town so no answers are forthcoming from NZIS. I would greatly appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully submitted the final application for PR approval. Two or four photos???

Thanks,

W

I'd put photos in the spaces provided on the ITA in addition to the ones you put on the medical and x-ray. That's what we did and our CO said "all your documents are fine" (disclaimer: we're awaiting final PR outcome, having had interview).

If it saves you money, you could use a digi camera to take some passport-style photos at home. Tellingly, perhaps, NZIS are fairly relaxed in the way they phrase the photo instructions. We reckoned that as long as they feature face prominently and are clearly portraits (not cropped from party pics.!), and are taken against a light background, the main thing is that they identify you pretty clearly.
That's how we did some of ours, on our home printer the night before sending ITA!

Cheers,
Matt.

Yep, four - two on the medial form and two on the application (per person).

Worth getting some extra photo's too in case you need some when you arrive in NZ... we spent ages looking for a photo booth here in Chch and a friend in Wellington had the same probs - in fact, both of us ended up getting ours taken in the middle of a chemists, which is where passport photo's are generally taken (we know that now!) - cost me $18 for 6 photo's :eek - and I have still yet to see a photo booth :?
