Hi all,
I am planning on applying for a 12 month work permit based on the fact I have a Kiwi girlfriend here now. This all seems fairly straightforward and I have already completed my medical.
Now though, I have just been asked by my work if I can stay on until sometime in April when my current visa runs out on Feb 26th. Would it be an advantage for me to include some kind of letter from my work saying they need me to have a work permit in place so I can continue in the job? Even if it was just to speed the process up?
It's not a permanent job offer as such, so I don't really want or need to go down that route applying for a visa.
Of course, this is just me worrying that my application to be submitted in about mid January won't be ready by the end of Feb? I hope it will be as it's not a PR application or anything like that, just a 12 month work permit? :uhoh
