Indian Grocery in Welly

I need to know where the nearest 'Indian Grocery' is - Any South Asians on the forum who can help. 'nearest' is from CBD. What I need are the usual suspects curry leaves, dals, papads and the like.

There is a supermarket in the shopping Centre in Newlands that sells Indian groceries, we are a mainly Indian and Asian Community up here so it is a popular shop with the locals, will have to ask the neighbours on our right as they might know how good it is.

I don't know any names, but I've always heard people talking about the usual suspects: one in Petone (far from the CBD), a few in Newtown (nearest to CBD), and possibly one in Miramar (a bit further out).

The store in Petone is called the Spice Rack, at 95 Jackson St. It's a relatively short train ride from the CBD and then a couple of blocks' walk to Jackson St. You might call them to see if they have what you need - 04-568 4149. I went there a lot when I lived/worked near WGN. Great selection and nice staff.

There is an Asian food market on Dixon between Victoria and Willis but I can't remember if they had any other nation's foods.

I did find this Asian one. Also New World has Indian spices to some extent.
