Hi All,

Please can someone advise if South African TVs and landline phones work in NZ. Seems to be conflicting info available, but most of the posts seem from UK members.

I have a Philips 74cm and a Telefunken 74cm TV (couple of years old), and am trying to decide whether to sell them and get a Plasma either here (SA) or once we get to NZ.

Any info greatly welcomed!

Hi Franscoise- we brought our Phillips TV 74 cm from South Africa - and after 5 months it lost its colour - it was only about 3 years old - so not sure if soemthing happened to it while it was coming across or what the problem was - so we have now bought a HD to replace it here. We didnt bring our landline so cant answer that for you - but cell phones have all been fine - infact had better reception than OH who has a NZ work phone!!!
