Hi there,
My girlfriend & i hope to be arriving in N Z around Feb/Mar and will be wanting to buy van for day to day use/commute to work and to go camping. Does anyone have any recommendations for websites or any local garages or local papers near to Christchurch? I'll share a couple of Tui's with the best post :cheers

We got our car (mitsubishi wagon) off TradeMe (www.trademe.co.nz).
There used to be a backpackers car dealer close to the CBD but it recently shut down. I'm not sure if there are others. There are quite a few 5k and under lots around town as well.
If you do end up using TradeMe be sure to pay cash if you want your car ASAP.
