Does anybody have any info on where to find a cheap source of packing boxes in the UK?
I have had a quick look but wondered if anybody could recommend anywhere in particular.
Thanks.

I can't recommend any as not needed to use them, but I see there is a place called Big Yellow Storage in Leeds as I pass it. They are all over the UK apparently and have a website, check out their box shop https://www.bigyellow.co.uk/materials.php don't know how prices compare with others.
Also, try your local freecycle. I often get large boxes with my business and I give them away on my local freecycle. You could even request for people to contact you through the site should they have any...and the best thing is, they are all FREE! :yes

Thanks for the suggestions, I hadn't even considered Ebay which seems to have some very decent prices.
Unfortunately our local Freecycle group is almost non-existent but we do have a very active forum which I was going to post on in the hope that somebody has moved here recently and still have boxes they are looking to get rid of.
Thanks again and please keep the suggestions coming.

I'm Amy from Big Yellow. Just saw Julie's recommendation and thought I'd add that there are 50 self storage locations in London and across the UK. Store locator here: http://www.bigyellow.co.uk/ Good luck with the big move, Pooks!

hiya try looking in the yellow pages. we had one place near us on the A127 in Essex that did 2nd hand flat pack boxes really cheap. other thing to do is go to your local out of town shops, halfords currys argus etc area and see if they have any tv boxes or anything like that. because we packed up a shop as well as a house we needed loads and found that quite a few places were happy to get rid of them.

Local electrical stores could be a good bet. Thanks again for the suggestions. Seems that packing boxes (new or used) are a little thin on the ground here.
Amy, thanks for the link but I think I am a little too far away to pop in:-
Bigyellow.co.uk Store Locator: Results
The nearest stores to you are:-
Leeds: 422 miles away
Sheffield Hillsborough: 448 miles away
Liverpool: 452 miles away
:uhoh Thanks anyway ;)

Ah that's such a shame, Pooks, but no worries. Cheers for checking it out. And again, good luck with the packing!
Amy :)
