Hi all,

can anyone tell me what details are on your police certficate, mainly - is the address you provide actually put onto the form? I want to get my form away asap but I am moving house at the weekend and unsure what address to use?

I am in NZ but could potentially use the following -

(a) my current address, but obviously I won't be there after the weekend (postage of cert will be to my parents house in UK so no probs in that sense)

(b) my future address, but I have no proof of address there as yet and would need to wait another 6 days from now to get a payslip from work

(c) my UK address (parents house) where I will have received credit card bills etc since I have been gone

If anyone has any advice on this it would be welcomed as it's sending me off my head! :D

The certificate has :

Date of issue, your full name, DOB, place of birth, nationality, sex, current address, passport number and summary of convictions (which is NO TRACE, if you have none).

The form guide says:

If you are living outside the UK you need to provide confirmation of your current residential address, together with a list of previous UK addresses within the last 5 years.

You would have to use your new address as that will be your current address before they process it. However, read the form guide as it tells you an email address you can contact them on if you are outside the country for help on matters such as these.

I'm sure you have it, but heres the link:

I've been told mine will say 'NO LIVE TRACE'. So does this give away the fact that I have a spent conviction?

I don't know on that one, I read your other thread. The only way your going to get anywhere with this one is to ask INZ and that opens other doors (different people with different answers). Maybe you can ask how you would fill in an EOI with a conviction this old, without giving personal details via email or the INZ question page.

Cheers. The reason I reposted is because since my last post things changed massively from having to give a subject access check giving full details to the new ACPO check. Either way its a much better system.
