Hi all,

Kindly note that my EOI was successful and i am currently expecting the ITA pack by post soon.

I have a few simple queries:

1. I've done an PAR and have been assessed @ level 7. Will i need to do a full NZQA asssement for ITA purposes?
2. If yes, given that ITA is valid for only 4 months and i submit an NZQA. this will take months. How to go about?
3. If ITA is successful (crossing-fingers hard - dreaming of NZ) and a residence visa or permit is granted. Stupid question: is there any difference between a visa or permit?
4. Is there any time limit imposed on a Residence visa or permit, i.e any validity period associated to the visa in order to get settled in NZ?

Thanks to all,
JM

1. It will depend on what your ITA checklist says. You may not need to if your institution of study is on the list http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/general/formsandfees/formsandguides/lorq . Check with your ITA checklist to be sure.
2. There is a fast track option with NZQA. It does cost more but there is that option. You can also possibly get an extension to your ITA if your NZQA assessment does not arrive in time.
3/4. A visa allows you to travel to and a permit allows you to reside in NZ. If outside NZ you will be issued a visa and have to travel to NZ within (2 years?) a certain period of time to activate it.
:) hope that helps.

Just to add a little more- if you have claimed bonus point you would need full NZQA assessment regardless of the awarding institution on the list of recognised universities.
