Hi all,

I'm preparing my ITA and am intrigued by the following requirement.

"Certified copies or originals AND photocopies of evidence to prove that your work experience is relevant to your qualification."

Welcome any suggestion. Thanks.

What are you unsure of?
In my case I supplied a description sheet from my company which explained my duties which included using a computer for programming which is what my degree was studied in. My degree also had a page briefly explaining the course and its aims which showed the items (ie programming, design etc) I learn't which again pointed to my job description page of having programming/design skills.

JandL, thanks. So it looks like it's a job description that is required. Will need to check if my ex-company still has it tough...

guys,

just wanto to make a confirmation regarding this topic..........
is that we need to have a reference letter from our previous employer ? as you know that it won't easier to have from the old employer.
I think it is OK just having one from our recent employer.

You need evidence of each job to match against your experience. If you have spent 3 years at one company which you can prove, and 2 years at another that you can not prove (or that they believe I should say), then you will only get points for the 3 years not the full 5.

A job description or letter from your employer is the best evidence you can obtain, however you can use other things. A letter from a college, business card with a job title, wage slips with job title, job advert maybe even information about the company (ie you are unlikely to be using nursing skills while working in a clothes store). I am not saying these things are evidence, but anything that connects you to the job is better than nothing. Maybe someone else who could not provide job description could suggest what they used?

Hi there,

I just completed this part of the ITA. This is what I did. I got official copies of my college transcripts from the university I received my degrees in, with all my course work and listing my Major/Minor. I have copies and originals of my Master's and Bachelor Degrees. And for work experience, I contacted my previous employer to write a description of my work duties, how many hours I worked per week and the minimum qualifications needed to obtain the job (need Bachelor's to be considered for the position). And she copied it on the company's letterhead with her signature. The same goes my present employer.

Hope this helps and good luck! :nice1
