Unemployment for Australians

I'm having a hard time finding a job here in Auckland so as a precaution, I was looking for information on unemployment but all I can find is information for Kiwis living in Australia.

I'm an Aussie citizen living here full time.

Where should I look, because my Google-fu is failing me.

Cheers!

Australian citizens are lawfully allowed in New Zealand without a residence permit. However, they must still meet the two years residence qualification to qualify for Unemployment Benefit.

If the client does not meet the two year continuous residence requirement they may be able to receive Unemployment Benefit on grounds of hardship.

See Unemployment Benefits: Clients from Overseas (http://www.workandincome.govt.nz/manuals-and-procedures/income_support/main_benefits/unemployment_benefit/unemployment_benefit-07.htm) for more details (including the two year residence requirements).
