Hi

I realised when I came that since I changed flights at Auckland that I needed to claim my baggage late in the night and then check it in back in the morning.:uhoh

Now my wife and two children will come, so I feel they should enter at Wellington

What do you feel about this itinerary...

SQ529/SQ233/QF117

The reason I ask is that there is just an hour in between flights.
The benefit is that :

(1) They will not have to stay the night anywhere
(2) They will not have to do immigration and baggage claim before reaching
Welly, as it is the port of entry, as opposed to if they entered at Auckland

Is this time enough?

Regards

I did an hour between flights with my 3 children on my own at Singapore and it was fine, gave us time to get off the plane, walk to the next terminal, toilet stop and a quick drink. For me I wanted it that way as I wanted to get the journey over and done with as quickly as possible!!
The couple of times I have been through Auckland airport is seems straightforward so can't see it being too much of a problem, just down to individual choice - good luck:)

I may have got this all wrong but if you are flying to Auckland and then on to Wellington I'm pretty sure the port of entry will be Auckland not Wellington. The flight to Wellington will be an internal flight. If this is right then you will need collect your luggage, clear immigration and MAF and catch a bus to the domestic terminal in an hour, which is pretty much impossible.

Hope I've got the wrong end of the stick...

just my thoughts too it will take at least an hour to collect luggage and clear customs beofre you even think of offloading luggage etc and transferring i would at least give yourselves 2-2.5 hours
