I know it's about our Aussie cousins, but still thought this was a great story - heard it on the radio yesterday while driving to work - and repeat it here to best of my ability.
A British author is in Sydney, at a book signing ceremony. People are coming up to her desk, giving her their names, and she signs theior books.
A lady comes up to the desk. "Emma Chissett"
The author duly signs the book and hands it over.
"Nah ... there's no price ... Emma Chissett!"
A great example of Strine I thought! Nearly pranged me car what will all the giggling.
