Hi all,

We are hoping to come to NZ in August, just wondering what would happen if we first submitted an EOI (we expect to get 140 points without job offer - although I will probably need an offer for provisional-registration as an electrician), then applied for a work visa at the same time as doing an ITA ? I know I am assuming best case scenario but youv'e got to be positive :cool

I noticed somewhere on this forum that someone did the same and was granted PR in 24 hours of arriving in New Zealand, I'm not after that (although it would be nice :cheers ) I was just thinking about saving myself the trouble and cost of applying all over again when we arrive in New Zealand.

Thanks all

Hi

You can certainly begin the process by submitting your EOI in the UK, coming over to NZ and getting a job and work visa, and you can then ask that your application be transferred to the office nearest to you in NZ where your application will continue and your ITA will be sent to you in NZ - the work visa will not affect this.

This is what we did, if you want more info feel free to PM me.
