We have been granted a medical waiver for our daughter allowing us to get our PR:bluebanana
It has been a long hard journey one I would not like to repeat.Throughout the whole process there has been no certainty that we would get through and we are currently on cloud nine.
Anyway ,the reason I am posting this is to give some hope to anyone in a similar situation to us,our daughter has autism and servere learning difficulties making it very hard to get PR. However we have felt all along that we as two experienced nurses had alot to offer New Zealand and persued our dream, fortunately all our hard work and sheer determination paid off. Please don't get let me give anyone false hope but bear it in mind that sometimes you can get through.
After spending all of 2008 selling our soul!!we can now look forward to our future, thankyou to everyone that has offered us support and advise along the way.

Thank you all,we intend to be out within the next 3 months, trying desperately to sell house at a very reduced price!!!.We are going to settle around Dunedin. Also had some more good news last night,we have been granted Orrs funding for our daughter and are now trying to get her into a special school as there is no way she could go to mainstream, totally without a doubt!!.We hope to get eveything in place for her so that we can concentrate on starting work and not to forget our son.

Helen, I haven't logged on for a few weeks and this is specifically what I logged on for today; to check if you had been on. I admire you two so much and your courage and willingness to share this good news for others in the same boat. LIKE ME!!! Our application goes in next week and then the wait wait begins. Lets hope they think we're as valuable as you chaps. I am thrilled for you and am more determined than ever to meet you in Dunedin for a weekend in the future! WELL DONE!!!! Now sell that house!!

Helen, the house thing sounds promising. I will send some positive thoughts and prayers up for you guys. You really don't want to drop your price tooo much as you will need all the moolah you can take with you to get you settled. also, I think the move is very costly. It will work out, one way or the other! Let us know what happens.
