Getting ready to leave for the UK

In my 4 month post I said thata lthough NZ gave us everything we thought we wanted - we realised all that we wanted was back home in the UK so plans are afoot to get back there ASAP. I have just started my second job in NZ - one that I had planned to start before we decided to leave. It will make the last few months here more enjoyable as the hours are more family friendly. Our house is on the market but in this current climate we are not sure how long it will be before it sells. Just hope it is sooner rather than later. I have been really lucky and have secured a job back in the UK already - the same as I was doing before but in a slightly different area (although working for the same NHS trust). They will hold the job for about 3 - 4 months. If the house hasn't sold then I may have to return and leave OH and my 2 boys here to sell the house. That could be a problem as I am the one that deals with all the business side of things and I would have to send all my money from the UK over each month to pay the bills as OH has not got a job. Hopefully it won't come to that :yes We feel better now we are starting to do something but I would prefer to have a date to work towards. All in good time I suppose.

Oh good luck Nicky, and congratulations on your job offer in the UK. You sound happier already in this post than your 4 month one, so you are obviously doing the right thing for you and your family. I wish you all the luck and success in the world.

All the best with your move back. Sometimes you need to move away to appreciate all you have. We've settled and been really happy since coming back to the UK - although I'm not sure we would have been this content now had we not moved to NZ for 18 months...
Good luck with selling the house.
Louise :)
