Love this website!! I have been reading this forum for the past week and have finally been able to register! (will write something in intros soon:))

Just wanted to know if anyone that moved from Sweden to NZ can recommend a shipping company?

We only plan to bring over personal items...so only sending about 7 to 10 tea chest size boxes!

From the UK-NZ I can easily find companies to do it for 250-340 pounds but so far the quotes here are outrageously high (i.e 1800 pounds:wah)

Any suggestions would be welcome!!

Depending on how heavy they are you might want to consider taking them as excess baggage. We found that to be the least expensive way to bring our things. We ended up having 12 bags in total between two of us. Each bag (beyond our normal allowance) cost us $88USD to fly from Las Vegas to Palmerston North.

If you book your flights all at the same time you get the highest allowance for all of your flights. You just have to make sure the bags/boxes don't go over weight.
