We woke up this morning to a wonderful sight in our e-mail inbox. I had a nice message from our CO saying we were Approved in Principal for PR!!!!!! We should have our passports back in about 2 weeks with the visas in them!!
I have had my doubts ever since starting this process that we would ever be accepted. After getting over each hurdle in the process a little bit of doubt was removed, but it was always there - until now.
Its almost surreal. This is something we have been moving towards for over three years and it has finally come true. Wow.

We will head out in a few months more than likely. Whenever we get everything wrapped up here. We did not want to start moving forward with preparing to move until we were officially approved so we have a lot to do.

That is a fast timeline, and it must be inspiring to others.
Looking at your signature confirms my belief we did it all backwards.
Yours seems a good approach.
Will you job search before you head over?

I don't plan on looking for work until we get there. Pretty much every single employer I have talked to said that we need to be there before they would consider me.

sooooooooooo pleased to read you are in!
we have been neck and neck for so long and you have pipped us at the last hurdle! we have just got confirmation back that MA needs a letter from my gp and educational psychologists report to confirm sons dyselxia needs (i was expecting these to be requested). so, we are still plodding along, hopefully not for too much longer.............watch this space!

Congratulations! The waiting is the hardest part but you guys seem to have flown through everything with flying colours.
We're using your experience as a yard stick to see where we are at. Only 18 days behind you. We'll have to celebrate with a few beers when we get down there :cheers

Quick question TJH, did you send in your passports with your ITA?
TJH
4th February 2009, 01:39 PM
Yes we sent the passports with the ITA. My CO said that our passports have been put into the Visa issuing queue and when they are issued we will have to pay the migrant levy. It will take about 2 weeks before our passports are returned to us.
