Does anyone have any actual experience of how long a temporary work permit (via family stream) should take to process?
I have seen the Wellington branch site recommend applying 4-6 weeks before visa expiry.
The same site states that 91% of these applications are processed within 10 days.
Now I have received an (automated) e-mail confirming they have received my application and they aim to process these within 45 days! Bottom line is that 45 days is really too long for me!
My working holiday expires on 26th Feb, and while I am working, I could maybe get away with a week or so off work, or even working for free(!), I don't want it to drag on any longer than say 5th March at the very latest.
My application was handed in on 3rd Feb. (Late I know but my police certificate took a bit longer than expected to get back).
