We are now "approval in principle" yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. In Singapore at the moment and just had a call from my Mum to say the letter has come through. Its only 9 days since we submitted and amazed its come through so quickly. Nobody at home seems to realise the significance of this so thought I would just mention it on here. We fly to Auckland tomorrow so this is a real boost , this time last year we thought it would never happen but it has so all those out there thinking the same, stick with it.

Hi Michelle and Richard
That is excellent news. :clap I bet you are both over the moon. I hope that will be us in a week or two. Our house is sold and we move out on 1st October. We contacted our visa officer to see if it was worthwhile getting a work visa but he said it would take just as long as a residency visa.
Did they let you know by letter, email or phone call? I check the website, my emails and answer phone all the time in anticipation.
We wish you all the best in your new life.
Regards

Well done, they are obviously getting through applications fairly quickly. Glad to see folks are gradually coming out the other end of the great NZIS sausage factory. :clap

Hi
thanks for all your good wishes, we fly from singapore in 5 hours yeahhhhhhhhhh.
We already had work visas, I had a job offer so feel sure this has speeded it up and we had 170 points.
Glen, we got a letter, web site still says application received. Also took our 520 pounds pretty quickly so knew something was moving, sure you will hear something soon. Let us know when you do.

Hi Beah
Yes we had a job offer, I'm a nurse and already had a job offer so I'm sure that helped as I had applied for a work visa on that strength so they had done most of the paper work for my job so maybe that helped.

Yep pay the levy which we can do in NZ when we get the file transferred and in 4 weeks we should have the magic stamp.
