wrong place to put this but seemed the most populated.

A few days ago when I went to log on via google I noticed that this site had a warning under it saying that 'this site may damage your computer' which surprised me as I hadn't ever seen it before. that day I didn't use the site. the next day it was as normal so I went in and caught up with the various posts. the day after that my newish (4 months) laptop died and now I am concerned. anyone out there know anything about the warning or anything that may touch on it.

I suspect that you were seeing the following:-Google error labels websites as harmful (http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5j4Sn-ehiL1W52Xn6UoqhUx2AQ_tw)

Which was actually a fault with Google and shouldn't have caused your laptop any harm whatsoever.

I got that too, but no problems here...Like Ian says, I think it was an error on Googles part that was rectified an hour or two later. I even got the message when I googled my own website!!!

Yes this was a human error on google side and it was in news as well. So no need to worry.
