I was just wondering if the cost of shipping has gone down compared to a year ago? We thought we were moving to NZ last June, but our buyer let us down, and we're still here and have reduced our asking price by 12k:wah
Our original shipping costs for a shared 40ft container was £3180 or £3450 for our own 20ft container.
We haven't, unfortunately, got a buyer yet, but as we have dropped our price, I am trying to find out if that can be ofset againstany of the costs to be incurred, so if anyone has had a quote or paid shipping costs recently it would be nice to know how much you paid. Our quote was for a 3 bed semi, no wardrobes but average contents packed by the shipper.

We paid about £3700 ish for a 3 bed semi too. 20' container, sole use and door to door service with everything packed by the shipper. This was in October last year.
As far as MAF costs this end, they were about $300 I think.

I'm sure it would've been up for some haggling, but overall the price doesn't seem all that different to yours!

Thanks Clairelouise. I wasn't sure if there would be a reduction or whether their margins were already quite tight.
