Hi all,

I am looking for work in the marketing and communications area. My work for the past few years has been a little different and has included designing and overseeing the fabrication of some high-end furniture. Should I include photos of the past projects in my CV . Also is it ok to include letters from previous employers?

Thank you for all your CV postings thus far, they have been a great help!

Having just been through a hiring process here, CVs tell you what they can do for you and should get the foot in the door, and at the interview you need to see the proof so thats when you should show them. The letters class as references which again are done at or after interview time.

However ^^, jazzing up your CV with proof could also work as it makes you stand out, I have not had to deal with this as its technical knowledge not artistic flair that we require :). Having a 7 page CV can also give you negative marks if they have loads of canditates and you waffling on doesn't help.

My most important remark would be write a covering letter explaining how you can fill in the skills required for that specific job rather than a blanket letter.

Put the photo's with the covering letter and leave the CV short and succinct.

yeah i would be showing photos at the interview stage, am a photographer so there's a lot of photos to show LOL.

My CV shows skills, qualifications and past jobs, then reference contacts at the bottom, short and simple!
