Kieth & debby,
It is really hard to put into words how you feel when that ITA finally gets posted - relief and then anxiety then fear etc etc. You seem like you have managed to get to grips with the enoormity of it and GOOD LUCK to you both!!
Love

Thanks all.

Yes, it's a mixture of relief and quiet anticipation.

It's amazing how much you have to put into it all.

It's strange to think that you whole new life amounts to the contents of one brown envelope !!!!

We've got lots to do just now, in the process of moving house in a couple of weeks, plus the trip to the UK, so hopefully time will fly.

Well done at posting it off,

I collect the final part of mine today, the medical, then comes the final checking of everything. Panic.

But enjoy your wait.

At least we know it's received now. That, to us, is one of the worst parts, all that confidential information in one envelope through the UK postal system :eek :eek :eek

We can relax now ;) ;)

Thanks for all the good wishes.

We posted our ITA on the 31st of march, we sent it special delivery befoure 9am, it is now monday and we cant find out if it got to nz house,
Royal mail say the sheet the post man should have handed in hasn't been returned to the office, so they are going to have words with him asap :uhoh
We phoned nz house and they said they couldnt check as it would be in the mail room and that wasn't part of the job :wah .

Royal Mail is a joke and so are NZ house :wah

Thought i would share this stressful experiance :(

Best way to check is to watch if NZIS take payment. They're pretty quick off the mark, so check your bank/credit card payments.
Did you get consequential insurance on the envelope? You are automatically covered up to (I think) £250.
I'm sure it'll turn up soon.
John.

Ours took about 4 days to register on the NZ site, probably due to the backlog they've got just now.

I'm sure it will be OK. It is worrying when you put all your personal information through the post.

I'm sure it will turn up soon too, and there's nothing to worry about.

Likewise...try not to worry (says me!!!!).

I sent my ITA by Special Delivery on 17th March and the Royal Mail website confirmed delivery before 9am on 18th March. My online status didn't change until 22nd March and I've still not heard a whisper from NZIS. I know other people who have lodged theirs around the same time and some have received acknowledgement letters, whereas others have had their phone interview and been granted PR :clap but I've had ZIP :wah Oh well, we're all in the Q somewhere I guess, so should only be a matter of time. :uhoh
