Just finished interview with my case officer. Was told that we have to wait 3months for a decision! The wait is so looong...

One of the sticking point during the Q&A session was that I have never been to NZ. Just wondering... are the chances of getting PR more remote if you have never been there? :(

I would think that if you have visited before you would get a slight advantage but likely only in deciding if you get PR->WTR or a straight PR. If you seem more prepared it gives them more reason to accept your application. However, its not the only thing, there are likely a huge number of other factors in the selection criteria but only INZ know what they are so I would not worry. At a good guess, knowledge of the area you wish to live in, the availability of work, knowledge of the house prices etc. You can't exactly change who you are or where you have visited to suit your application :).
