Well folks, the blue stickers arrived on Monday! :bluebanana

They were supposed to arrive on Friday, to my work address whilst I was at my work! NZIS phoned me on Thursday to confirm a change in payment method and also confirmed everything would be sent that day, for next day delivery in a plain envelope marked 'Personal in Confidence'.

I NEVER have a day off work, but I was in Edinburgh doing my Kettlebells Certification course over the weekend and needed Monday off to recover or die (stiffly and painfully I may add). (I did pass the course, mind you!)

The envelope did not arrive Friday. It arrived Monday when I was off.

Even tho it was marked P&C someone 'accidentally' opened it. :uhoh

I was planning on telling them when we got the flat sold, not BEFORE!

Ma heid was all over the place: chuffed that we had our docs and passports and VISAs but my heart was in my mouth about telling them we were going.

They have been brilliant! :bluebanana

Happy for me to stay as long as possibly can, and if I can get a portfolio together and land a contract for them before I go, in NZ, then they may even consider opening an office in NZ with me as the office manager! :D

All we need to do now is sell the flat............ and get that contract............ please?

We'll be there in a flash!

Many congratulations :bluebanana:bluebanana:bluebanana - you must be so excited. When do you think you'll head out to NZ?

As soon as the flat is sold! We need that for colateral!

Plan on shipping stuff out 2 weeks before our 'vacate' date and stay with a friend for a further 6 - 8 weeks to give our stuff a head start over there. No point in sitting on our thumbs for 10 weeks waiting for it to arrive! Besides it will let us bank another couple of months worth of UK salary before we go....

Hope things pick up here. We've had 4 viewers in January, one came for second viewing but then didnt offer. Its on at a fixed price, and I spent Monday dispensing flat schedules round our industrial estate which is housing a large number of new-builds for established international companies. 3 out of the 4 viewers said they worked in Westhill already so, hopefully my hard work in the rain will pay off!

I'll cross everythig for you for your flat sale. Market is horrible at the moment. We will have our house officially on sale by next Friday and we're in the same position as you: we won't leave until it has sold. I don't want any 'baggage' left to worry about in the Uk once we leave in July hopefully.

Many happy blue bananas to you and good luck with the sale of your flat!

As with Icemaiden, we're concerned about the housing market here in the U.S. Many of the houses in our neighborhood have had "for sale" signs posted for months. We plan to put ours on the market once one of us has a job in NZ. If it doesn't sell, it will be extremely difficult to afford the move.

We love it every time we see that someone has successfully made the move, and will continue to keep our fingers crossed for all us.
