I had a police check done about a year ago, does anyone know if this is still valid? It's no problem if not but could save a bit of time (and 10 quid!)

Police checks are generally only good for 6 months, so probably not :)

Definitley need a new one, and it should be ACPO Police Certificates (http://www.acpo.police.uk/certificates.asp) which is £35.

It's weird, it's beginning to set in that I could well be off to NZ in 4 or 5 months time (or thereabouts). It's exciting! Didn't quite feel real before, now it definitely does. I know I'm not assured a visa but all the same, it feels like I'm going to be going and I bet time will pass quicker than I expect! Hurrah!
