I was just wondering if anyone has had their NVQ assessed for NZ standards, and if so what was the result.

I'm about to send mine off for verification and seem to recall, somewhere on this forum, that they can often be graded one step higher than the UK?

If no-one knows and is interested, I will post the result when I get it back.

After some clarification, I have had my NVQ assessed and compared to NZ I was given a level 4 qualification. :P (I have level 3 for the UK)

I think this should enable us to gain the additional 10 points for the partner qualifications.

We are going to send this off to immigration and let you know the outcome.

:clap :clap :clap That's great news! We applied in January for my hubby's quals to be assessed. Paid the expedition fee for 2week processing......still waiting! Fault doesn't lie with NZQA though, it's with the dipsticks this end, failing to reply. Hoping it won't prove necessary but then that's a waste of £260 now :( . I best not convert that to $$$$$$
